Brad's Song Suggestion of the Day:
Sound Molecule Productions offers two choices for printing on the face of your CD/DVD.
While printing directly to the disc using ink-jet printing, there are no stickers, paper labels or limited colors. Full color graphics or black-and-white printing is offered on white or silver background discs. Whatever you can think of or design, or if you need a little bit of help in the creative department, we can work together to print whatever you desire.

Black Text Only on Disc
This is our least expensive option for disc printing. The "Black Text Only" package includes printing using
solely black ink, no heavy solids or black flood coverage and simple artwork that is type or logo only. This
printing is not water resistant.
Full Color on Disc
This is our most popular option for clients who want full color printing on their CD/DVD, but who also are
looking to keep costs to a minimum. Our ultra-high resolution inkjet printing works well with color photos,
color logos or black-and-white artwork.

Mastering is probably the least understood and most overlooked part of the recording process even though it is potentially the most important element.
What is it?
It is the final step between the recording studio and CD duplication, and also the final high-resolution version of production.
Mastering can not only optimize your tracks level and EQ but it can also enhance the overall sound of your recording. This process
can make your audio come to life giving it clarity, power, depth and punch. It is not only a creative process but it is also a
technical process. Mastering requires a great deal of skill, appropriate training, years of dedication and experience, and proper
equipment to be done correctly. At a minimum mastering includes:
- Optimization of volume levels for proper loudness
- Removing unwanted clatter
- Organization of tracks
- Signal processing
- Timing between tracks
What is the Process?
In some cases mastering is extremely multifaceted where as other times it is incredibly straightforward. Often, EQ is applied
to enhance the mix and make it sound better. Multi-band compression, and/or limiting are also usually added to bring up the
overall dynamics of your audio. Fade-ins, fade-outs and spacing between songs are also determined during this process. Many
times clicks, pops and distortion can be removed to make your mix sound clean and wholesome.
At Sound Molecule Productions we not only bring a fresh perspective to all projects, but we ensure that every element reaches its greatest potential. We determine what needs to be done to give your product a smooth, seamless flow from the first song to the last.
Do I Need It?
Whether your music was recorded and mixed in a professional studio or recorded and mixed at home, it should be mastered. Not only is it
beneficial to have your music listened to by a professional who has the experience, expertise and equipment to give your songs the professional
edge needed to compete in the market today, but it is almost essential. This process will ensure your music sounds its best whether it is played
in a car stereo, boom box or the best home system money can buy.
